Cannon process by zearyu Cannon process by zearyu
Just for anyone who wonders how the process goes, I still have my older tutorial in my gallery and things haven't changed that much since then except cutting steps and time. I still use Paint Tool SAI. Might try to make a lineart tutorial from people asking- if I ever figure out how to; sharing knowledge is goods =O

Do you use the light grey to shade everything all at once, even the skin? Other than that, thanks so much for a very clear, concise and simple tutorial!

How do you get that flick at the end of your lineart? I have a tablet but I still get the same hard and blunt lines

It's the way you stroke it, I'd say the best example is when you use a paint brush in real life. It won't go thin to thick to thin on it's own, you have to make it do that with your own hand 8] Does that make sense~?

Yah it does make sense, I think it might just be something with my tablet it really doesnt seem to be working for me.

Be sure to double check your settings on your brush and see if 'size' is checked off as well. If it is then could be you're still getting the hang of the tablet =]

The only options my brush seems to have is "Stroke Stabilizer" and "Pressure Stabilizer" and all the little boxes in the advanced setting are checked. But I just checked in Photoshop on the "Shape Dynamics" option and even with my tablet in the computer it still says I need a pressure sensitive tablet to use that kind of stuff. So does that mean mine isn't pressure sensitive ?

It might not be detecting it possibly xD If your strokes look the same as when you use a mouse then it's not detecting the tablet driver. If it looks slightly different than using a mouse then it's just how you're drawing xD

Dang digital is complicated XD and im guessing you have no idea what to do if its not detecting the driver

What do you mean on step 4 ( and 5 ) by using a grey? :0c
Is the grey supposed to blend with a color and become a darker shade of the base color? Because I tried that, but the grey simply made the grey color chosen, rather than blend in. :T
... Does this make sense? xD;;

I make a new layer and set it on multiply mode and shade using the grey, it basically multiplies the color underneath with the grey making it a darker shade xD does that make more sense?

Hmm, I guess it does. :T
Does this only apply with clothes?
Because if I tried it on the skin, it'd only make it look gray. xD;;

Depends xD for most of the time it may not be good to use multiply grey on the skin but I sometimes use grey on the skin if it works out for the whole thing. If it looks the way you want it to ish then you can use grey multiply on skin if not choose your own color 8D for this image I did use my own colors to shade the skin

Thanks then, that really cleared some thing up. :o)
Oh, another question, do you still multipy the skin shade color? Or do you leave it as is? xD;;
Sorry for asking so much questions ... u vu

I choose a darker skin shade and then a darker reddish tone to define the skin more, basically like painting it in real life xD
And it's no problemmm ask everything you wantt~ I'm happy to help :la:
